Lakeside Investment Club teaches the basics of investing to students. We host University professors, run virtual stock market competitions, dissect movies about the stock market, and so much more!

Whether you're a beginning player wanting to learn or a seasoned fan, chess club is the place for you! From adrenaline rush speed chess flagging, to calculating head-scratching puzzles, to playing classic team 'bughouse,' come join us for a social, exciting year of chess!

Andromeda Club's purpose is to support and upkeep the Lakeside Andromeda AI server, along with helping students learn about and interact with AI firsthand.

Lakeside students play jazz together! From sight reading new music in the chapel to preforming in front our school during roar auction, this club is an opportunity for musicians to learn and show off their skills in a small-group setting.

Lakeside Science Bowl is an opportunity to put your science trivia skills to the test in a fast-paced, buzzer-based, team competition! Join if you want to deepen knowledge of your favorite science discipline, compete with and against your friends, or just have a fun time!

Science Olympiad is a fun place to explore your diverse interests in science and compete with your friends and fellow science-lovers.

Coram Deo (Lakeside Christian Fellowship) is a welcoming space where Christian and non-Christian students can enjoy each other’s company, discuss topics related to the Christian faith, and participate in fun community events!

The objective of Green club is to make Lakeside a more sustainable community. We would educate students on ways they can reduce their carbon footprint, and teach them how to incorporate sustainability into their daily lives.

Lakeside Medical Society hopes to inspire students to pursue a career in medicine. We want to create a space where students can be excited to learn more about healthcare through a speaker series or hands-on activities.

Learn To Be Tutoring club is Lakeside's chapter of Learn To Be, a nonprofit organization that provides free, online tutoring to underserved youth. Students sign up and get to select a student to tutor (scheduling is super flexible because you coordinate directly with the student's family). Lakeside Global Service Foundation is a club dedicated to maintaining connections with and providing ongoing support to our GSL communities. Former GSL participants can share their experiences, raise awareness, and continue serving their host communities by organizing and participating in fundraisers, even if they can’t return each year. This club also offers a space for students considering GSL to connect with and learn from students who have already been.

Our club provides students with a space to play the board game Diplomacy and develop interpersonal competencies as well as experience with grand strategic thinking.

Cinema club is a creative space for Lakeside students to come together to talk about, create, and immerse themselves in film. If you are a film enthusiast, casual cinephile, or just want a chill space to hang out and watch weekly movies with your friends, cinema club is the place for you!

Ethics Bowl is a national organization we practice at Lakeside where students dissect ethical dilemmas and practices respectful dialogue.

Water1st unites Lakeside students to learn about global clean water challenges, take action to improve access, and spread awareness of why solving this issue is vital for communities worldwide.

Outdoor club a chance for all students--regardless of previous outdoor experience--to experience the wonders of nature that the surrounding area has to offer. From hiking to cross country skiing to canoeing, we have loads of fun free outings every year!!

Ping Pong Club will advocate for the Lakeside Ping Pong table to be taken out, and depending on enthusiasm will organize meetings to play. We also hope to have a tournament in the Spring with interested members of the student body, as well participating in the Washington State Table Tennis tournament, as we have in prior years!

Our club partners with the Red Cross to host events giving back to the community, such as making tote bags for veterans, hosting fundraisers, and running an annual blood drive at Lakeside.

We design, build, and code robot vehicles, which we drive in competition with and against other teams. Prior experience is NOT necessary; anyone is welcome to drop in the PGA house (every ACT)!

We want to advocate for mental health so its not forgotten. Overall we want to improve everyone's lives since we all have mental health that matters.

The Bellas is a performance-based SSAA a cappella group, which will perform at several school events and help members grow as singers. We have mandatory weekly rehearsals, and we engage the community with fun events like Valentine's Day!

Neuroscience club is for students who want to learn more about neuroscience outside of the classroom and build a real-world understanding of the field.

Record club is lakeside’s hotspot for all things music related! Come by every other Tuesday to listen to new releases, play music related songs, curate playlists, and enjoy snacks!

Lakeside Model United Nations aims to teach the fundamentals of UN procedure, send delegations to local MUN conferences, and to prompt dialogue about current issues in the sphere of international relations. Additionally, we host our own conference at Lakeside in the spring where Lakeside students can get leadership opportunities.

Our club works with a non-profit to fundraise money for laptop that are donated to students in the Seattle area. We also organize and run the laptop distribution events.

Engineering club educates Lakeside students on what engineering as a field looks like, and we have fun meetings that have an interest in technical skills.

Bird Club is a place for both avid bird watchers and people who don't interact with birds much, and everyone in between, to hang out and have great snacks! Some of the activities we have done in the past include Jeopardy, arts and crafts, presentation karaoke, movie "night," and outdoor bird outings!

We’re Lakeside’s original TTBB a cappella group, and also the oldest student-run club on campus! From serenading classmates with Valentine’s Day Singing Grams to performing at school events, we bring music and fun wherever we go.

Through The Social Lens podcast we will run every four-six weeks, we transform our findings into stories: blending survey results, interviews, and real experiences into episodes that we hope will spark conversation, challenge assumptions, and shine light on the unseen. Our goal is to amplify student voice at Lakeside by surfacing the implicit biases that shape daily life by running social experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and researching what really shapes decision-making.

We hope to hosting regular music therapy workshops/meetings which will educate members and the broader community about music’s therapeutic benefits through panels + Q&A’s with experts in the fields, engaging educational content (videos, presentations, and games), and interactive music therapy sessions (Music and beat making, improvisation, jam sessions and other fun music activities to calm the stressed student psyche down). We see this club serving its role in contributing meaningfully to the Lakeside community, offering students a therapeutic, inclusive, and growth-oriented space for those who seek and find healing through music as this has personally proven so.

Outdoor Service Club is a great place for anyone who loves nature, needs some service hours, or is looking to learn more about the plants native to the PNW! We meet mainly on Saturdays at Discovery Park from 9-12.

Behind the Mind is a psychology guest-speaker club. We engage students with interesting psychology research and career exploration opportunities through live and archived guest-lectures given by individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences in the field of psychology.

Quiz Bowl is a game about general and specific academic knowledge (Science, History, Art). We go to tournaments in Quiz Bowl, History Bowl, etc. ... let us know if you have a bowl-style tournament suggestion and we'll do what we can to organize a team through the Quiz Bowl club.

Whether it be finals week, a huge presentation, or giant papers, school is stressful! Our goal is to make people less stressed during test-heavy weeks through shared joy of music; together we will Sing Away The Stress!

Secondhand Club's goal is to encourage students to be more sustainable in their fashion choices by shopping second hand, swapping clothes, and learning to fix and alter old clothes. This year there will be a big focus on hands on activities such as sewing both by hand and with a machine.

Big Climb Club is Lakeside's team for the Big Climb competition that takes place in March; during Big Climb, racers will compete to see who can make it to the top of Seattle's Columbia Center first. Big Climb is an event that fundraises for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, so compete for a good cause!

The Snow Sports Club brings together Lakeside’s snow sports community to share and grow our passion for skiing, snowboarding, and the outdoors. All experience levels are welcome to join us in making the slopes fun and accessible for everyone.

The Science Fair Prep Club helps Lakeside students prepare for regional and state science and engineering fairs (CSRSEF, WSSEF) by offering guidance, resources, and a supportive community to develop and present award-winning research projects. Whether you’re new to science fairs or an experienced participant, the club provides hands-on help with every stage of the fair process, from brainstorming ideas to creating engaging posters and practicing essential presentation skills.

Join Short Story Club if you're interested in reading, writing, and peer editing short stories! We aim to get involved with writing competitions, the Lakeside magazine, and eventually create a compilation of short stories to publish/print for members.

Cookbook Club celebrates Lakeside’s community through food. We share recipes, learn cooking tips, and occasionally host events like potlucks or bake sales, with the long-term goal of creating a community cookbook.

At the Electronics Repair Club, students get hands-on experience fixing broken devices and turning e-waste into opportunity. Together, we keep tech out of landfills and into the hands of people who need it most.

Dungeons and Dragons is a popular fantasy tabletop roleplaying game. We hope to host a space where members could come in every week to relax and immerse themselves in a collaborative adventure and engage in creative world-building.

History Club is for everything history! We will host regular discussions about historical, current, or future events every week for those who love the humanities. Moreso, we will be teaching and preparing students to compete in the annual National History Day Competition where you can conduct historical research for money, ribbons, and national recongnition!

At Daraja club, we aim to create a community here at Lakeside that can connect with the students of Daraja Academy in Kenya and fundraise through interactive events. We welcome anyone to join!

Creative Writing Club is a space where Lakeside students can feel free to share, discuss, and ask for advice on their writing. The club strives to build confidence and connection among Lakeside’s lovers of the humanities, in addition to providing support and encouragement for members’ personal pieces.

The goal of the club will be to teach computer science topics, specifically those from the American Computer Science League (ACSL) competition. If possible, we will also organize teams to participate in ACSL competitions.

Through this club, we are looking to promote open and honest discussion. A small portion of current events and politics is often talked about at Lakeside, and this club is a place for politically engaged students to express their varying viewpoints through healthy dialogue.

The Canon Club is for people interested in classic works of literature and people who like artillery but are bad at spelling.

Join Lakeside Poets Society to have a chill space to write, read, and discuss poetry with your peers. You can also have your work featured on our website/instagram, and join us on field trips to open mic nights, poetry readings, and more!

Business Club will be centered around events similar to DECA and FLBA. Throughout the year, we will cover a vast variety of concepts related to business, entrepreneurship, and beyond, with topics ranging from stock trading to business pitch presentations. We also aim to bring in informed judges from the business world for our competitions, as well as invite accomplished and knowledgeable leaders in the business industry who can speak on their own experiences and give advice to young aspiring business leaders. Join business club to improve public speaking abilities, gain insight and knowledge on a wide range of business and economical concepts, and improve networking skills with real people who have succeeded in the field of business.

Design, Build, and Race your own racecars! We will be using CAD and 3D printing to create our own race cars (kind of like F1) and anyone can join!

Lula Mentors is a program that builds meaningful connections between Lakeside’s Upper and Middle School students. Upper School mentors will support and empower female-identifying Middle School students to feel a sense of belonging at Lakeside and grow in confidence. Mentors should be compassionate, mature, respectful, and excited to connect with their mentee.

We are here to bring people together with treats and films. Get ready to explore the different cultures represented in different movies while getting a taste of diverse heritages seen in the films.

We host biweekly sessions covering when and how to perform CPR, how defibrillators work, conditions that can cause cardiac arrest, and feature guest speakers who highlight the importance of emergency preparedness. Our club would also organize and facilitate school-wide CPR/AED and first aid training events for students and teachers, equipping the Lakeside community with life-saving skills. This way, students and teachers can earn official CPR/AED certification and first aid certification at school.

Houston, we have a problem…Astronomy Club is too much fun to miss! Come learn about the search for a ninth planet through guest lectures from UW, telescope optics through hands-on experiments, and “spaghettification” through movie-stressbusters. We will also discuss how to explore the field in high school and find meaningful research opportunities in astrophysics (and in STEM in general)!

The Music Production Club is a collaborative space for students passionate about creating and producing original music. It brings together experienced musicians, producers, and vocalists to share ideas, record tracks, and experiment with sound.

The goal of this club is to help underpriveledged children in our community through any plausible resources accesible to us such as online promotion, volunteering, fundrasing etc.

This club will meet weekly to discuss the YMCA Mock Trial case and prepare for the competition in March. We will practice close reading and interpreting the law.

USAAI is a national organization helping empower high school students to build community, confidence, experience, and leadership in AI that they can use in their life and later careers. We'll explore artificial intelligence through discussions, guest lectures, local activites/projects, and the USAAI Innovation Challenge, a nation-wide AI competition.

Indigenous Student Alliance

The Fishing Club meets to share tips, stories, and discussions about fishing while learning new skills like fly fishing. Members may also organize trips outside of school hours to practice together in real settings.
